Recently, taking some time off his hectic schedule, Noel helped gather support for clean energy when he asked for signatures from the Glorietta mallers and their peers. The petition called on the national government to ensure that renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and biomass supply 10% of the country’s power by 2010.
He also filmed a 15-second TV spot declaring his stand on clean energy and encouraging more Filipinos to support the campaign and embrace clean energy while saying no to dirty, toxic sources like coal.
Noel is one of the celebrities who actively campaigns for clean energy as the Greenpeace flagship Rainbow Warrior comes to Asia for its Clean Energy Revolution Tour.
